He played a significant role in supporting former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during the 2005 and 2009 elections. After Ahmadinejad’s 2009 victory, widespread protests erupted, and Mojtaba was allegedly instrumental in suppressing these demonstrations.
